Discover the Council of Europe through the eyes of +75 posters.
2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe, based in Strasbourg and founded by ten member states, including Luxembourg, on 5 May 1949 in London.
Come and discover a selection of posters retracing the history and achievements of the Council of Europe, to better understand its concrete actions and the promotion of Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, fundamental values that it has been defending on a daily basis for 75 years now.
This exhibition pays tribute to this fine organisation and also aims to highlight the 70th anniversary of the European Cultural Convention signed in 1954.
The exhibition aims to raise awareness of the impact that the Council of Europe has had, and continues to have, on the daily lives of millions of Europeans, an impact that is unfortunately often overlooked.
As part of Luxembourg's presidency of the Council of Europe from November 2024 to May 2025.
