D-Day refers to the day on which the Allies (United States, United Kingdom, Canada) landed in Normandy on 6 June 1944. From Great Britain, the Allies crossed the English Channel to liberate France, Luxembourg and the whole of Europe from the Nazis. It was the beginning of the end of the Nazi regime. This open-air exhibition summarises the events around 6 June 1944.
