Cartoons against the nazi regime in Luxembourg, before, during and after the war
Caricatures against the Nazi regime, produced and distributed in Luxembourg before, during and after the war, are the main subject of this exhibition. It deals more generally with humour and jokes, the part played by the press and resistance movements and counter-propaganda.
It consists of 5 chapters:
- Luxembourg during the Second World War
- The pre-war period (Albert Simon's caricatures in the Tageblatt)
- The Cabrol affair
- Cartoons under the Nazi occupation
- The post-war period
The exhibition is bilingual, in German and French.
